Do you have a children’s program?

Our Children’s / Youth Ministries are a critical part of the life of RHCC and we place a high priority on it – not only because our children are the future leaders for the body of Christ in the coming decades, but also because their impact right now on the Kingdom of God can be awesome!

On Sunday mornings we run program for children from nursery through grade 9. Sunday evenings for grades 9 and up and Friday nights for grades 6-8.

Jr. High (grades 6-8)
We believe that students are capable of big things. We’ll provide ministry training for them and help them catch the vision for all that God can do through them to impact the world. Our strategy to accomplish this is through prayer, relationships and some serious fun!

“F3Y” (grades 9-12) is a program designed to provide an environment for discipleship to take place. It’s an opportunity for youth in grades 6 – 8 to come together for Fabulous, Fridays, For Youth. – with one Friday night each month dedicated to listening to, meditating on, and learning to apply the word of God to individual lives.

“FUEL” (grades 9-12) is our High School program
. Students are at a critical place in life during High School and  opportunities are many and choices have far-reaching consequences. Our desire is to meet each student at their point of need and encourage them toward dependence upon Jesus Christ to meet that need. Our goal is to create fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, helping students impact their friends with God’s love.

What should I expect on Sunday morning?

On Sunday mornings at RHCC you will encounter a casual atmosphere, contemporary music, relevant messages, and friendly people who genuinely care about each other. You may also perceive our passion for deeper relationships. This passion grows out of our belief that God’s transformational love draws people into relationship with him and each other.

Free Coffee. When you enter through the main doors  you will find a cafe area with tea, coffee, juice & apple cider straight ahead. It’s free! Drink up! and yes, you can bring these into the auditorium with you!

Opportunities for Kids. We have great environments for kids that are fun and safe and are staffed with people who love to work with children.

Music. You’ll find that the band plays a variety of music styles. Typically when a service begins, we start with a song or two followed by a welcome from our weekend host. He or she will let you know about current events at the church or other opportunities for you. We’ll sing a few more songs, receive an offering, and hear a message from one of our pastors. Oh, and about the offering – you’re our guest and we’re glad you’re here – please don’t feel obligated to give.

Messages relevant to your daily life. We assume that if you’re here, you’ve got some questions:  Questions about God. Questions about life. In the messages we try to address these questions, seeking together to discover from the Bible what God has to say about them. If you’re looking for specific answers, one of our pastors would be happy to speak with you.  Just let us know how we can help.

Friendly People who’ll help you find your way around.

Come check us out for yourself.

Is there a dress code? What do people wear for the worship service?

Anything from comfortable casual (including jeans) to semi-formal. Most people prefer the casual. I Samuel 16:7 says that, “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (NIV) At RHCC, we are not concerned about how you dress up for church, but how you prepare your heart and mind to worship God.

Do you use the Bible?

Yes. Our foundation of belief is the Bible. We believe it to be God’s message to humanity. It is completely true and trustworthy.

RHCC’s teaching team believes in focusing their message on the issues each one of us faces in our daily lives.  It’s important to us that we understand that God’s Word applies to our lives and how we can trust it to be a guide for us.  We want you to be able to say that what we talked about on the weekend gave you something that could help you on Monday: in your family, at your work, with your life.  This approach permeates all the various ministries that we offer here at RHCC.  Our approach to teaching ministry is relevant to today’s issues and devoted to the Holy Scriptures as the final say on all we believe, say and do.

As a community of faith we believe the following about God’s Word:

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God, and that they only constitute the Divine rule of Christian faith and practice.

And as such the scriptures teach:

All people are in the need of God’s Salvation

The atonement made by Jesus is available to all

Conversion is an inward spiritual change brought about by the power of the Holy Spirit

Conversion from sin should lead to holiness of life and eternity with God

Our goal through our teaching is that you would hear from God, trust His Voice and grow in Him

Our Beliefs

The Doctrine of The Salvation Army

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God, and that they only constitute the Divine rule of Christian faith and practice.

We believe that there is only one God, who is infinitely perfect, the Creator, Preserver, and Governor of all things, and who is the only proper object of religious worship.

We believe that there are three persons in the Godhead – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, undivided in essence and co-equal in power and glory.

We believe that in the person of Jesus Christ the Divine and human natures are united, so that He is truly and properly God and truly and properly man.

We believe that our first parents were created in a state of innocency, but by their disobedience, they lost their purity and happiness, and that in consequence of their fall, all men have become sinners, totally depraved, and as such are justly exposed to the wrath of God.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has by His suffering and death made an atonement for the whole world so that whosoever will may be saved.

We believe that repentance toward God, faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are necessary to salvation.

We believe that we are justified by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and that he that believeth hath the witness in himself.

We believe that continuance in a state of salvation depends upon continued obedient faith in Christ.

We believe that it is the privilege of all believers to be wholly sanctified, and that their whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the immortality of the soul, the resurrection of the body, in the general judgment at the end of the world, in the eternal happiness of the righteous, and in the endless punishment of the wicked.

A Summary of our beliefs:

All people are in need of God’s Salvation.

The atonement made by Jesus is available to all.

Conversion is an inward spiritual change brought about by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Conversion from sin should lead to holiness of life and an eternity with God.
